Does bio oil actually work on acne scars?

and i got alot on my face..ive used it for 2 days and not much help yet?Does bio oil actually work on acne scars?
Yes, It doesn't work in two days..that would be a miracle, you must use it for at least a monthDoes bio oil actually work on acne scars?
Yes it does, but it will take longer than 2 days. I would at least give it a month or two.

Another good product you can look at is the scar kit from Zenmed.

You can find reviews of the kit and also other home remedies at

http://www.acnescarstreatments.com/

Good luck
yes it does. it will take some time and you wont happen for a while. yes it will work but be patient. burn victims use bio oil on burn scars. an alternative is kosmea rose hip oil.

they will go.

How long does it take for bio oil to get rid of acne scars?

I don't have severe acne scars, just some around my mouth that are extremely annoying.

My sister used bio oil and it did WONDERS to her skin, so i'm getting some too.

But to anyone that has used it for acne scars - how long did it take to get your face back to looking normal?

Thanks! How long does it take for bio oil to get rid of acne scars?
Hey there, it really depends how much you apply, how many times you apply and how scarred are your acne scars. you should apply it twice a day. you should start seeing visable results within' the first two weeks.

good luck

What's the best way to get rid of acne using tea tree oil?

How are you supposed to apply it to the skin? What's the best way to get rid of acne using tea tree oil?
I am afraid the better question might have been ' What can I use for my acne as tea tree oil does not work?'

Try over the counter cleanser/degreasers such as Panoxyl. If these don't help your GP can prescribe topical or oral antibiotics which are very effective. What's the best way to get rid of acne using tea tree oil?
Tea tree oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia . Tea tree oil is purported to have antiseptic properties and has been used traditionally to prevent and treat infections. While numerous laboratory studies have demonstrated antimicrobial properties of tea tree oil (likely due to the compound terpinen-4-ol), only a small number of high-quality trials have been published. Human studies have focused on the use of topical tea tree oil for fungal infections (including fungal infections of the nails and athlete's foot), acne, and vaginal infections. However, there is a lack of definitive available evidence for the use of tea tree oil in any of these conditions, and further study is warranted.
I use it full strength but the smell is very strong that way so I using it pretty sparingly. I apply it in the evening, after I've washed and moisturized my face. I get 3-4 drops in my hand and rub it on one area of my face, once the fumes have cleared out a bit I put it on another part of my face, etc. I use it maybe 2-4 evenings a week.

I believe it does help control the spread of acne but I've noticed the main difference with blackheads. I have HUGE pores on my nose and have always had a problem with blackheads no matter how clean I try to keep my face but once I started using tea tree oil regularly the have cleared out a lot.
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem dot com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
i dont know about tree oil and this probably dosnt answer question but just for future reffernce

ok here is two great one that help and you most likely already have in kitchen

1) egg whites seperate a egg take the egg white and mix till gets bubbly then spread a little evenly on face wait till gets tight then was off with warm water and soap then take the egg yolk and do the smae thing dont mix the yolk though just put on face same thing till it gets tight then wash off with warm water soap

the egg yolk acts as a moisturizer

2) honey take a bit put on all face and keep on hour or pt on trouble spots and leave on over night for maximun effect 100/ time its clear

3) just for future reference sugar and water spoon full of each is a great scrub better than any kind you can get at a store you can also use honey and sugar as a scrub and exfoiliator mix water and sugar or sugar and honey together spoon full each and then rub on face AMAZING MADE MY SKIN SO SOFT and the pimple went a away the next day GREATTTT

also ice or cold water rub on after washing to close up pores

You can use both.. Usually companies make products to accomodate another, so in my opinion you can certainly use both.. You may also want to but a gentle exfoliator to help get rid of excess skin.. Exfoliate NO more that 2x's a week.. Stay away from fried foods as much as possible.. Good Luck!

Does tea tree oil work for treating acne?

I just bought a whole set of tea tree oil products for The Body Shop.

I asked for acne treatment products and they recommended me use tea tree oil.

So i bought the cleanser, toner, moisturizer and exfoliator and it costed $50.

I wasted alot of money on proactiv which didn't work. Has anyone tried the tea tree oil products from The Body Shop? Do they work?

Thanks.Does tea tree oil work for treating acne?
tea tree oil is very good for acne IF you buy it pure at an organic store. when you use it run a earpick thru water than dip it in the tea tree dap on twice a day and enjoy:) i dont think lotions and chemical filled products work too well especially if you have senstive skin! God bless

also i switched my HIGH processed sugar diet to a limit of 40g processed sugar n the other sugars from fruits and natural things. my pimples are getting better everyday (and i include LOTS of water)Does tea tree oil work for treating acne?
Theoretically, tea tree oil works. I would buy the oil and add it to other products I like, but hopefully what you bought will work That's a lot of money. For some people, lavender oil, just the plain oil may work or geranium oil. In general, using the plain undiluted oil isn't great, but to put a dab on a pimple may be the best thing. You have to experiment sometimes to see which of the oils works best for you. If you buy essential oil, always smell it first. If it bothers you, you will likely have a skin reaction to it and will want to avoid it.
Yes I have heard that tea tree oil helps, but I have come to the conclusion and infact realization that different things help different people differently. I heard that drinking loads of water helps, but no matter how much drink it doesnt help! I drink like gallons of water and still nothing, I heard about clean and clear and proactive but none of that stuff helps it just makes your skin addicted to the medication and without it, one would break out even more. Lately I have tried cleaning my face with alcohol swabs and I swear it works great and has decreased my acne greatly, you should definitey not touch the acne cause it would lead to infection and skin irritation and inflammation. Also wash ur face regulary with luke warm water and a gentle soft soap or just water. Try it out, it works! and its cheap!

Even if you use makeup it works, just make sure you wash ur face and the clean the infected area with the alcohol swab. I hope you get rid of your acne soon, I know how frustrating it is. Good Luck!
I'm really really sorry to say, but the only product I brought from the tea tree oil range from The Body Shop broke me out.

I usually have really clear skin, and after a few days of using their Tea Tree Oil Matte Moisturiser (or something the lines of that) I broke out really bad. I stopped using it and my skin was all better.

But I don't know. Your skin may be different. I've got really sensitive skin, so that may be why it broke me out. Good luck! I hope it works for you :)
ive never tried tea tree oil but my friend tried the same products from the body shop and they seemed to work for her.

you can also try witch hazel. you can get it at walmart or any store right near the peroxide for really cheap and it works.

also dont forget to drink plenty of water!
Yes it does but if you really want something that works try Mario Badescu acne skin care! This stuff is amazing and works really well or Keihls acne skin care products too!!!
    Yes it's true =]

You could also try Rosehip seed oil %26amp; lavender oil too!

Alsooo, be sure to drink LOTS of water, this makes a huge difference in how your skin looks
    Haven't tried that.

Body shop products tend to be a bit chemically.

But Tea tree oil is the best for mixed/oily skin.

    The best.
Tea Tree oil is good for acne. In fact, sanitas skincare makes a tea tree mask that works wonders on acneic skin.

    yep, it worked for me.

although sometimes it stings when i apply it to spots.
yes i have the tea tree oil works wonders on problem acne skin its good i recomend it to ny 1 wit acne problems
no. diet and exercise are the keys.
YES.. I love this stuff ! It works for me! My face is clearer and less oily!

    Tea Tree Oil works.

For another alternative....Witch Hazel used as an astringent works to cleanse with a cotton ball. It's not expensive and can be purchased at drug stores. It's also good for other things - bug bites, rashes, etc.
    It works!

Is pure virgin coconut oil good for acne?

if you apply pure virgin coconut oil to face with acne, will it get rid of it %26amp; achieve clear skin?Is pure virgin coconut oil good for acne?
how many virgin coconut do you see with acneIs pure virgin coconut oil good for acne?
    Yup.

And it lowers your sex drive.
How do you now that Oil came from a Virgin?
NO! Don't put anything oily on acne- it needs to be dried up, not greased. The most effective treatments for acne these days are antibiotic tablets and gels, available on prescription from your doctor.

The treatments available to but are too harsh for acne. If your skin is extremely bad, or doesn't improve after antibiotics, your doctor can refer you to a dermatologist for alternative treatments
Coconut oil applied to the face is good for the general wellbeing of your skin but it does not directly treat acne

For information on natural acne treatments see

    http://www.affiliatemarketingintro.com/N鈥?/a>
i wouldnt have thought so becasue you are putting more oil into your skin.

if your scne is really bad go and see your doctor, and he/she will prescribe some stuf.

i had zineryt solution. it stinks but i put it on at night and by mornin they look lots better and in a week they had gone. and keep applying and they stay away.

wel worth going to see your GP.

    Good luck with the acne....

Is it alright to wash face with neutrogena oil-free acne face wash every day and night?

You will have to be careful, medicated soap tends to be quite had core stuff.

I would just use regular soap and wash whenever you face feels oily. This way you can wash several times a day if need be, and it will be much more gentle.

I have found that washing several times a day is much better for your complexion, rather than blasting it with medicated stuff. Is it alright to wash face with neutrogena oil-free acne face wash every day and night?
no you should do it like ever 2 days, because

it will dry out your skin. trust.

  • If I would like to try tea tree oil for my acne, what brand should I be looking for?

I dont want to use just any brand cuz I hear some make you break out more.If I would like to try tea tree oil for my acne, what brand should I be looking for?
The brand you use shouldn't make much difference if it is pure essential oil. Make sure it isn't blended with a ';carrier oil'; such as jojoba or grapeseed.

Auria cacia is a good brand that is organic and free trade, but there are plenty of great companies out there!!

The most important thing to remember when using tea tree oil is to NOT touch the bottle where the oil comes out. You can contaminate the bottle with bacteria. Drop the liquid onto a q tip or cotton ball and then apply to the face. Try to use a new q tip for each area, if you go from zit to zit you can spread more bacteria to clean pores in the area!

Use only a small amount on a cleanly washed face and apply lotion afterwards.

If you face becomes red or itchy, you are probably using too much or could have an allergy. This is a strong oil, so be sparing!!

And if in doubt, see an esthetician for a good facial to clean out pores! If I would like to try tea tree oil for my acne, what brand should I be looking for?
There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.

It was even televised on TV.

It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It has been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)

Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:

Search up ';best acne solution ever'; on ebay.

First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can buy the whole container for $160

It's expensive, but the product DOES work.

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.

I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.

    I hope this helps. =)
the just its the best but spensive heb have two diferent brad and they ok tea tree lotion also good

    good luck

Recommend me an oil free acne cleaner?

Could anybody recommend me a really good oil free acne cleaner? I know there are many choices out there like the cream, gel, and liquid. But could anybody recommend me one that really works, cleans your pores and that is oil free? I have a perfect spot treatment and blackhead treatment, but I am still looking for something to help get rid of pimples, so I don't have to use the spot treatment all the time. If you could include the brand and what type of cleaner is it that would be great!Recommend me an oil free acne cleaner?
I really like Biore's Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser, it smells delicious and does a nice job of cleaning skin.

hope this helps, good luck :)

xxRecommend me an oil free acne cleaner?
TRUST ME!!!!! I have been doing it a week and it works! I use lye soap to wash my face every morning and every night! Get some home made or natural kind. The lye soap I have stinks but when you wash your face with it you cant smell it. First rinse splash your face with warm water to open your pores and put some of the soap on your hand and start massaging it lightly. then rinse it off with warm water and you know its all off when you hear you skin squeak when rinsing it off.(I know sounds weird). Then splash your face with cold water to close the pores and pat dry with a clean towel.

I tries to find a site that talks more about how it helps.
hi im sorri im not sure if this is oil free but its a great natural exfoliate its called blemish control apricot scrub and its from st.ives...u mite wanna give that a try before u get anything like proactiv just because the scrub is much cheaper...they have a great line of products and im sure u can find sumthing from st.ives :D
there is some that i used called '; acne complex kit care'; it was made my special doctors or something get it at your local make up center or something or Ulta i got mine from there its quite cheap and works well i wouldnt trust any of those commercial brands though they never work and contain plenty of oil
I'd try a natural solution, have a look here

    Otherwise just ask your doctor..

I know Olive Oil is really good acne and acne scars but how should i apply olive oil on my face?

Is it ok to just apply it like normal moisteriser, like a night cream? Also does anyone know how long it takes for olive oil to clear acne scars?

ThanksI know Olive Oil is really good acne and acne scars but how should i apply olive oil on my face?
Hi I would suggest that you apply it immidietly after bath when there is still some moisture left on your skin. It leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturised . Thats what i do .I use extra virgin olive oil.I know Olive Oil is really good acne and acne scars but how should i apply olive oil on my face?
I would not suggest that you use olive oil directly on your skin. Find a moisturizer that is non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores) and made for sensitive skin like Lubriderm.

If you are concerned about acne scarring, check out Sephora or your local dermatologist for a vitamin c serum. I really love Skinceuticals vitamin c with ferulic acid. It's an expensive serum but when used with sunscreen it will lighten scars and prevent wrinkles from being formed from UV rays.

Also... Microdermabrasion and IPL laser treatments would also clear the hyperpigmentation left from acne. This is another expensive option but also effective.

Can i use neutrogena oil free acne wash pink grapefruit, even if i dont have acne?

Sure! it should also help prevent acne. As to the irritation. It doesn't matter if you have acne or not. It really depends on your skin type. But I would say give it a try. If irritation occurs, stop the use of the product.

Does Shu uemura cleansing oil work for acne?

i wanted to buy their high performance balancing cleansing oil, but i dont know if that would help or make my acne worse.Does Shu uemura cleansing oil work for acne?
i am currently using the thebalancing oil, both the classic cleasning oil ie: ';green '; one and the high performance cleansing oil ie: yellow one. as there are several in that line of cleansing oils, well at least in asia.

i understand your concerns of using skin car that may aggravate your acne condition, as an acne sufferer i was fearful of products that will amke me break out, and its such a tough battle to win. however, i have been using this product and have foundthat it has not aggravated my condition, but i think the piint to note hear is that as long as you have your acne condition under control and not constantly breaking out then this product should be okay. since it has no claim of being acnegenic or non comodogenic i am not sure if it can ben clinically proven to not cause break outs, however from my first hand experience i have not found it too.

this product does however have an oily texture, and some people who are not sure of how to use it are fretful and are scared off by its oily texure......and think it will clog pores...blah blah etc....but i think by using it correctly it should not pose a problem. the correct way to use it is to make sure you apply the product to a dry face and onto dry hands....';do not '; apply onto wet hands or wet face like other cleansing products, as this will kick start the oils cleanisng effect diluting it before it can grab onto make up and before you have the chance to distribute the oil evenly over the face....so remember dry hands and face is a must.....!!! also once applied evely and you have massaged it briefly onto makeup , then get some water and start lathering it onto the oil film, this will help kick statrt the oil to help dissolve you makeup, and also starts transforming the oily tecture into one that soo becomes soluble with water, then repeat untill you get the desired feling of cleanliness and have lost the oily texture of the oil film when used correctly i do ot believe this problem leaves a greasy film on the face nor do i think it poses problems for acne skin, but ';Do'; follow with another cleanser, as using this soley is not suffice to do a good clean of the face, and if this is the only thing u plan to use to clean the face then i advise you not to use this product, as i merely use it for removing make up..however, after the oil I use proactive!!! that has helped with my acne so much, !!! (proactive its no gimmick, and im so happy that the pimples are at bay now, it even helps with blemishes which use to take yearssssssssss/decades to eliminate, )

i use the cleasing oil as the first step to my skin care regimen to remove makeup, otherwise if i have no makeup on then i skip using it and go straight to my cleanser stage.

i actually prefer the green one over the premium oil, as the green one has the added benefit of a realy nuce cucumber fragrance and is suppose to help fiht free readical daamge as it has antioxidants,

cleansing oils are very popular in asia, and all have this oily tecture, as it grabs onto makeup well and dissolves it much better than make up wipes etc....nearly all skin care lines carry one on there product list, some kind of cleasing oil in asia... and i know australia have not launched this fad yet, but then again australia is slow to catch onto stuff like this, asia has had sk11 for soo long and has had cloth mask as a popular skin care regimen ,,,,,,i have only started seeing sightings and promotions of such innovations introduced into the aust market onyl recently since last year.

such oils are so popular in asia and everyone uses it, though of course there are varying contents and prices but in general the texture is the same,,,,,and they all seem ok and have not caused some out cry in break outs...so i beleive if its so widely used and popular in asia, and no one seems to be breaking out heaps and it poses no problem in this agenda then i believe it should pose no real threat as long as you have another skin care regimen in place which targets the acne problem alongside using the oil. and make sure you use another cleanser in addition .supplemtens after the oil step which i believe only efffective fro removing makeup etc.....using this alone is not adequate to cleanse to your face,,,thats is what will pose acne psorblems if any...

but one thing to note people have siad that tis product is merely only mineral oils ,,,,and some have fears that it may clog pores, but then again peoeple have la mer cause break outs yet some people find la mer works miracles and wonders on there skin,,,,but i have found the oil it deems to works on mine. so you make the choice, used correctly i find it ok and effective, but no superior to others of other cleansing oil from other skincare product lines.

if you can go into your shu uemura store and hassle em for a sample..they should have some. make sure you get them to advise you of how to use the product as well..... !

and re reading your question%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;i believe i got a lil side tracked... if you are relying on this problem to help with your acne conditon then dont bother,,,but if you are wondering if this will hinder or make acne worse then it should not pose any real threats...if you are looking for something for you r acne try proactive i have triedtrilllion zillion things micro dermabrasion pills and sun lamps, topical treatments, antibiotics, retinol, green peels. facials, extractions, minomycin, dermatologist and proactive really works ...my skin was a little senstive at first but after i used it every 2 days at first untill my skin adapted and got use to it, it was great.,....

i hope this helps inform your decision to buy/not buy, as the last thing you want is seomthing you spend moeny on and doesnt work and worse still aggravates your skin,,,i ahgve been there and thrown so much money at teh beauty industry not funny.....been threre done that, i tried everything to get rid of break outs....if you have not used cleansing oils before u may want to use a cheaper

cleansing oil brand and see how ur skin responds before splurging on the shu uemura one which is a more expensive cleansing oil that is mrerely a good mild make up remover.

as long as you do not have hopes on this to help assist intreating your acne and will supplememnt with another cleanser then worth trying,,,,,if u dun mind the price. i recommend the green one i love the smelll,,,and soo refreshingDoes Shu uemura cleansing oil work for acne?

    clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion.

http://www.clinique.com/templates/produc鈥?/a>What is the best oil-free moisturizer for acne prone skin?
I did some research and talked to my doctor to find the most common causes of acne.

鈥?Hormones: The number one cause of acne is the production of sex hormones, known as androgen, that begins at puberty. This is why majority of acne sufferers are adolescents and teens. Hormones are responsible for then acne flare-ups during menstruation and pregnancy.

鈥?When the sebaceous gland is stimulated by androgens, it produces extra sebum. In its journey up the follicle toward the surface, the sebum mixes with common skin bacteria and dead skin cells that have been shed from the lining of the follicle. While this process is normal, the presence of extra sebum in the follicle increases the chances of clogging 鈥?and acne.

鈥?Stress: can also cause the production of hormones, such as cortisol, which can aggravate acne. Stress brings upon different hormone levels. With hormone changes the body prompts the skins oil glands to enlarge, secreting more oil. Which causes white heads, black heads and pimples.

鈥?Oily or heavy make up: Heavy make-up clogs the pores and oily make-ups add more oil, which only adds to the problem if oily skin already exists. Cosmetics, especially certain moisturizers, foundations and pomades contain lanolin, petrolatum, vegetable oils, butyl stearate, lauryl alcohol and oleic acid.

鈥?Certain medications and steroids: Vitamins are good for your body, But an excess of vitamins B1, B6 and B12 can cause acne flare-ups. These vitamins are good for the skin, but avoid overuse.

鈥?Diets: For some people, a diet that is high in refined carbohydrates and sugars can actually aggravate their acne.

鈥?Over abrasive cleansing: Harsh exfoliators can damage skin and spread infections.

鈥?Picking and squeezing: This can actually send the infection deeper into the skin and can cause scarring.

鈥?Environmental irritants: such as high humidity and pollution. High humidity actually causes swelling of skin. Pollution is of course is a big cause for clogging your pores.

鈥?Genes: Family members who are also acne sufferers. Acne is inherited and severe cases known as cystic acne usually come from heredity.

And..What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

    1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

    2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Does intense exercise help acne and reduce oil production?

I used to exercise daily.. and i do lots of lifts and presses basically work myself to the done and sweat all over, of course i take shower right after.

anyway... i've been pretty lazy and always lay around and not doing much.. i find that when i do exercise, i don't get any acne or have oily face as i am now. Does SUPER Intense exercise help reduce oil and all the toxins that cause acne and blemishes?Does intense exercise help acne and reduce oil production?
Unfortunately, hard core exercise will not clear acne. It is the way the body is, or your skin type. I went through what you are, and I still am. I tried to exercise way more then usual, and nothing changed. Even diets have nothing to do with how the skin reacts, or so scientists say.

However, going back to your normal routine will probably reduce it, if it worked for you before. Don't strain yourself, your body just needs the old habits back. Also, clean your face with an anti-bacterial face soap, that kills the bacteria. No bacteria, no oil!Does intense exercise help acne and reduce oil production?
No. The help for acne comes from you washing your face every day after exercise.

Acne is dirt, bacteria %26amp; oil. Control these, and you've got a blemish-free face.

My son (18) notices that going swimming in the summer can completely clear his face. Sunshine, chlorine, showering. Does the trick.

    TX Mom
Stress causes acne, %26amp;when you exercise, you're releasing stress. But don't forget to wash all that sweat off or they're gonna clog your pores.

  • Does neutrogena oil free acne wash daily scrub work?

i just bought it this morning

and i just used it right now (at night)

and i got a liitle bit put it on my finger but when

i scrub it on my face and there was like little white dots

is that suppose to be there......i know that they came out of the bottles

    but does it work

and what does it do to your skin.

does it help you reduce acne, make you skin softer, less oily, etc....?

and how long do i need to use it for to see results.

    no rude answers please!

thanx :)Does neutrogena oil free acne wash daily scrub work?
I've tried that kind before, but I don't remember seeing little white dots. I know that for some, it's in there to absorb excess oil and you can just wash it away after washing your face. It definitely does work for oil parts of your face, but it can dehydrate your skin or cause dryness.

Definitely use moisturizers or cream after using it. It makes you skin less oil, but even if it says that it's a daily scrub, try using it less often.

For ever day use, you should try Biore Revitalizing Self-Foaming Cleanser, or foam cleansers that doesn't dry out the skin very easily.Does neutrogena oil free acne wash daily scrub work?
Neutrogena products are great. Yes, there should be ';white dots'; in the daily scrub. You should use it according to whatever they say on the label. Don't use a lot at a time and be gentle when you wash your face. Take your time. It exfoliates and opens your pores.

Blot (don't rub) your face with a clean towel.

Use a cotton ball, and put a bit of the oil onto it. Only put it on your acne spots, and then you can just leave it on.

Acne sufferers could cleanse their skin with olive oil and reduce their acne breakouts. I don't think, you will get acne due to olive oil. Take care! Can using olive oil in cooking cause acne?
certainly can especially if it is not pure or you are allergic to it

Is neutrogena oil-free acne wash (grapfriut in a pump) a good product for lots of small pimples?

I use the unscented oil free wash, and it works pretty well. It removes shine and gives my face a clean feeling. However, you will also need to buy an exfoliating face scrub to slough off dead skin cells that can lead to acne. Use this once a week. If your skin is oily, follow up your face wash with a toner. If your skin is dry, use a lotion so that your glands won't overcompensate for dryness by producing extra oil. I want to use emu oil for my acne scars but I've heard people say that it will make you break out?

I have quite a lot of back acne scars that I want to get rid of and after reading some articles, people have said that emu oil really works wonders in making them disappear or fade. However, I have also read that emu oil will make you break out as well. My back still breaks out randomly, will applying emu oil make it worse? Are there any other ways to get rid of the scars/ back acne (preferably without a prescription or seeing a doctor)? For example, sugar scrubs? Thanks!I want to use emu oil for my acne scars but I've heard people say that it will make you break out?
Anytime someone hears the word ';oil';, they think it will clog your pores and make you break out.

This isn't true of ALL oils.

Emu Oil is one of the exceptions.

It WILL NOT clog your pores and it WILL help get rid of scars and prevent future breakouts.

But you have to get the Emu Oil that is AEA Certified. It's the best!! Do a google search and buy it online.

Emu oil can be expensive, but you can get it for $5-10 an once. Especially if you buy more.I want to use emu oil for my acne scars but I've heard people say that it will make you break out?
Its not true! I have been using emu oil for about two weeks, some I got from an Amish community and its been doing wonders for my face. It actually GETS RID of pimples. And it makes your skin glow. Although its expensive a little goes a LONG way. You only need a little drop for your whole face, the stuff is slick. Definitely something to invest it. Only use it after you have bathed and cleaned though.

Does neutrogena oil free acne wash work?

I heard that it works but it makes your skin extremely dry. What moisturizer can i use that would help ? What do you recommend ? thanks : )Does neutrogena oil free acne wash work?
i would reccomend using oxy pads. they are awesome! they are quick (if your one of those people who doesnt like spending 15 minutes applying 246346 different products to your face. i know i am) and after a few days it clears them up. i used them twice a day, or more depending on your skins oily-ness. and it cleared them up which is something i NEVER thought would happen, seriously, try them they work!!! just like anything else you have to continually use them for results. acne doesnt just disappear and stay gone, after all.Does neutrogena oil free acne wash work?
Personally I was in and out of dermatologist offices.

and neutrogena is the way to go.

Just make sure you always buy the set!

usually any acne remedies comes in three.

So you can get the moisturizer with it, and it will even out.

    Good luck!
its ur skin but i would reccomend proactiv! its a lifesaver
    YES IT DOSE WORKS.....
dont use it. it made my face peel like crazy. use the wave.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Free Foaming Scrub or Neutrogena invigorating daily cleansing?

    Thanks soooo much!

And i just got the neutrogena mineral sheers powder foundation. Do you have it, and like it??

Thanks again :PNeutrogena Oil-Free Acne Free Foaming Scrub or Neutrogena invigorating daily cleansing?
i like the invigorating daily cleanser. it tingles on your face and makes you wake up in the morning.

How effective is pure Jojoba oil in treating acne?

Is Jojoba oil, applied neat to skin or used as a cleanser, really effective in preventing acne? Can it be used to treat existing pimples? Any tips/advice about how to apply it, how often, time of day etc.?How effective is pure Jojoba oil in treating acne?
Bad idea. Any idea how acne forms? That is when pores are clogged with oil and bacteria sets in. Jojoba oil is very similar to human sebum(oil), the one that clogs pores. And by using jojoba oil, you are clogging your pores more which will definitely worsen acne.

To get rid of acne. Try a gentle cleanser. One that is glycerin or sorbitol based will be good and it does not need to be expensive. Cetaphil and Neutrogena has some pretty good ones. Try Cetaphil庐 Gentle Skin Cleanser.

Wash your face at least twice a day and everytime after you perspire. If your skin is the oily kind, you do not need to apply any moisturizer, your skin oils are enough to keep it hydrated. If you really must apply a gentle light oil free one. Cetaphil庐 Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15 or Cetaphil庐 Moisturizing Lotion is quite good

Apply pimple cream to the acne area. Try benzoyl peroxide low strength(2.5%) first. Don't pick poke scrub or pop your pimples unless you want scars which are really ugly. Scrubbing cleansers or washes are also no-nos because it equals picking and poking and makes acne worse Treated pimples gently.

Eat healthy. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Cut down on sugar and carb intake. Foods like chocolates, coffee, soda drinks, bread, rice potatoes or anything starchy and sugary are no-nos. Cut down on oily and fried foods also. Go for grilled, steamed or baked food. Make sure you eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Ensure that your diet is rich in vitamin A, C, E and Omega-3 which are important for the skin. Less stress and sleeping enough is also important. Not having enough sleep is like putting stress on your body. Makes sure you sleep at least 8 hours a day.

If you are a smoker. Try to quit. Smoking causes a lot of damage to your skin because it introduces toxins to it. These toxins can clog the pores or make the skin harder to breathe and that鈥檚 when the acne bacteria set in. The toxins also cause longer healing of the acne as well as the marks and scars left behind by acne.

If all else fails and your acne is still very bad, it is time to see a dermatologist. The pills and medications do work but you may have to take them long term to suppress the acne as it is not a cure and acne is a chronic disease. However the pills are not miracles and you won鈥檛 see results in 2-3 days. It normally takes about 2 weeks to see the difference. However not all dermatologists prescribe pills unless your acne is really bad. The pills will include antibiotics, accutane and contraceptives. If your acne isn鈥檛 that bad, dermatologists will prescribe topical creams first. If you are really going to a dermatologist, I suggest asking about a product known as Retin-A that treats acne and acne marks and heals the scars.

    have you tried proacitv?
I have the tendency towards acne and what seems to work (knock on wood) is a soap called Dr. Bronners magic soaps (I get the kind with almond oil). After that, I put witch hazel on my skin. Also make sure to drink plenty of water and avoid overly meaty and oily foods. I'll go out on a limb and say this is a great combo!
I have HEARD that Proactive really WORKS..the other option is a Dermatologist..Accutane is said to work for many, not all, BUT here are some incredible dangers that go along with this drug...so do your research 1st.
    go see a dermatologist

    and whatever you do

    dont pop them

if you absolutly cant stop yourself, wash yourhands, and your face, and dont use your nails.

also, try using a cleanser for sensative skin..i know when i used regular wash i would break out b/c it would dry out my skin %26amp;%26amp; then the skin would clog my pores.

exfoliate gently about once a week.

make a routine of washing, toning, and moisturizing [[oil frees moisturizer]]
Going to a dermatologist should be your first option. Regularly the crap they sell on TV isn't that good, it's just a bunch of beauty products and what you need is medication. I had the same problem back in the day when I was a teenager, and I tried it all from Clearasil to neutrogena but nothing worked until i got profesional help.

    Good luck!
Calamine lotion has the same drying effect like toothpaste so you can apply it overnight and wash the next day. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
I'm a 15 year old male and I went to the dermatologist after horrible face chest and back acne I now take Accutane. I had to get certified for it and all this crap but I first had to go and get other medications that the Health Insurance payed but you should ask your mom about going to a local dermatologist I feel so much better now that my acne is clearling up.I've also had and tryed all teh face creams lie Proactiv and my face was jsut too darn oily I hope I can help but your parents or guardians should understand the problem I had to reach out to my mom how embarrased i was with all these pimples I couldnt go out and do anything that involved taking my shirt off and the such. But trying my advice=] Hope it helps a lot
first of all, avoid soda and greasy foods. That always helps my face when I avoid those foods

My face is fairly clear and I first use clean %26amp; clear oil pads to get rid of excess oil then i use a blackhead 2 in 1 scrubber/cleaner, then I follow that with proactive and it does wonders.

Can I use an oil free moisturizer with acne wash?

Ok, so I tried my acne wash with an anti-acne moisturizer. It worked for a while, but the moisturizer didn't really help, and my skin started flaking anyway. So can I just use an oil free moisturizer with my acne wash? Will this make my face not peel? Can I use an oil free moisturizer with acne wash?
You can use an oil free moisturizer with an acne wash. I like Neutragena Oil Free Moisturizer. If this doesn't help, the acne wash probably has too high a level of benzoyl peroxide for your skin. Try finding a cleanser that is made for sensitive skill with a lower percentage of benzoyl peroxide.

Putting oil on you skin will cause you to break out worse. You can use an acne wash and put on a moisturizer made for skin prone to breakouts. Or if if does not improve see your doctor.
coconut oil is the worse thing you could do. the oil is going to block your pores so they won't be any oxygen going in and you'll break out more. coconut oil is good if you have dry legs or dry hair but on the face its too oily. try a face moisturizer that's oil free and hopefully that helps.

And should I use a neutrogena foaming cleanser before or after the acne wash? Or should I just not use the foaming cleanser at all?Can you use neutrogena oil free pink grapefruit acne wash in the shower?
yea i usually wash my face in the shower since its easier and if you take warm showers the steam will open ur pores so the face wash can really clean and work

also you use the acne wash before you use the cleanser so the cleanser can cleanse ur face rather than washing the cleanser off with the face wash

cuz then there really isnt a point to itCan you use neutrogena oil free pink grapefruit acne wash in the shower?

I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
I use it in the shower too , but usually I use it after while I'm washing my face in the sink with really hot water . It doesn't irritate my skin though. Maybe you have like an allergy to it. If it gets worse you should contact your dermatologist. Hope I helped [:

I am currently using Prescriptives oil-free Virtual Matte foundation..I don't think it is adding to my breakouts, but it is adding to the dryness. Any suggestions? What is a good oil- free foundation for acne prone skin, that still gives a soft look.?
neutrogena oil free acne fondation. i don't have breakout anymore, i used to have alot too. and its cheaper than clinique.

also when using any kind of face wash, or foundation, make sure the label says non-comodegenic, that means it is easy on your face and wont clog pores. What is a good oil- free foundation for acne prone skin, that still gives a soft look.?
I LOVE Clinique's ';workout makeup all day wear';. nothing compares. it give good coverage without looking caked on like the grocery store brands.
bare minerals, make up by proactive, physicians formulas (at target)
Moisturize your skin prior to putting on your foundation. Always use some sort of Facial moisturizer and a toner after cleansing to help with the dryness.

Try using dry mineral makeup like Neutrogena if you are still having dryness.
I have acne prone skin and I use Clinique hypo-allergenic foundation that I bought from Sears. It covers my acne scars really well and doesn't make me break out.
def. clinique!!!! i use it too and it works wonders. and it covers well! and never makes me break out. use their face wash and stuff too. it will help clear u up

How long will it take for pure vitamin E oil to heal acne scabs?

and is it ok to leave in on overnight?

and will it clog pores? How long will it take for pure vitamin E oil to heal acne scabs?
it will take weeks(not that many though)

i use tea tree oil and its working great

i do not leave it on because it is oil even though its pure. don't keep picking your face. as i said i use tea tree oil and its getting rid of everything(even those annoying pimples) and its leaving my face smoother. drink lots of water to help all those bad toxins in you skin leave. and eat alot of green veggies that have vitamin E

How long will it take for pure vitamin E oil to heal acne scabs?
Actually vitamin E doesn't work on the scars and actually clogs the pores, try coco butter for it instead
about 2-6 weeks .it have to work .

How do i apply olive oil as a acne cleaner and/or as hair conditioner?

Like do i put the olive oil all over then rinse, or do i keep it (the olive oil) on all night and only apply it to acne infected areas.

and with the conditioner, do i put it on the top of my head/hair then sleep with it, or do i put it all over my hair and rinse it out.

    thanks

%26lt;3How do i apply olive oil as a acne cleaner and/or as hair conditioner?
Olive oil is a good moisturizer. If you are going to apply it to your face use a teeny tiny amount because your face will become super oily (sometimes I use jojoba oil when I run out of oil of olay moisturizer). I would however recommend you buy an actual facial moisturizer because olive oil may be a bit to oily for the skin.

For hair...apply it all over and make sure to rub into scalp. If you have dry hair you can apply it before you shampoo as a pre-poo treatment or mix it with your hair conditioner. I usually massage olive oil in my hair after straightening it. My friend uses it while she straightens her hair. Figure out what is good for you. Also you can use it to tame your fly-aways.How do i apply olive oil as a acne cleaner and/or as hair conditioner?
Um, just one hint, I don't think it would work very well as an acne cleaner because acne is a result of oil clogging the pores and to wash it with oil doesn't seem like a good idea. But that's just me.
Bad Idea! Don't use it on either one! It will make your face and hair oily.

Use just good conditioner. And cheap acne cleaner. If you have bad acne, use the knock off of Pro-Active. It works just as well.

What works better and getting rid of acne scars bio-oil or coco butter/shea butter?

I have finally got my acne cleared up =D but I have some scars let on my face from them. I heard that bio-oil and coco butter works very well rom them but I wa wondering what one work the best or should I ue both? 10 points best answer =D

thanx in advanceWhat works better and getting rid of acne scars bio-oil or coco butter/shea butter?
Either... But... Buy a bottle of Vitamin E Oil and mix it in with the lotion of your choice and then apply it right before bed.

The combo of vitamin e and massage right before bed, the body's healing time, helps the skin regenerate better.

Do it every night and you should see a dif in a few weeks.

Personally, I use vitamin e oil in Clean %26amp; Clear Acne Medicated Lotion...

Then it keeps you clear AND heals the old stuff...What works better and getting rid of acne scars bio-oil or coco butter/shea butter?
have to agree with the vitamin E..it works great and it helps to add it to the lotion..but you should also try Ambi..which is fade cream..works really well Report Abuse

I would try the bio oil before I would try coco butter. I think coco butter says ';may'; help prevent scars (i.e.- stretch marks) BUT doesn't say it WILL.

I would buy something that is made for acne scars. It does take time and I would imagine you have to use it as often as it says to see any results. Typically without any type of treatment, some scars left behind can take up 6 months to start fading. I read that in a magazine.

The skin cell turn over has to be sped up.

Not sure by your screen name if you are a dude or not. But, you could buy a cover up (concealer) in the mean time while you are using the treatment. That way the spots aren't as noticeable. I don't see an issue with a guy wanting to hide their spots the same way a girl would.
Try putting a little dab of castor oil on each scar before you go to bed each night. Castor oil is completely natural and safe and has been used for preventing/removing stretch marks on pregnant women, removing scars, and a variety of other things. I have used it to remove lots of scars from acne and other things.

You can purchase castor oil at any health food store and some grocery stores.
I had bad acne and i went to the doctor about it, once it cleared up, i had scars like you said, and the doctor sent me to a dermatologist. The dermotologist mixed all this tropical curring stuff and gave it to me to put on my skin. the scars were gone in less then a week. so i recomend you go to a dermotologist before you try anything else
Coco Butter works really well for scars. Not only does it minimize the scars, it also evens out and smooths the area it's applied to, so if your scars were discolored or raised it will definently help. Good Luck!
I use Prefer On, because i used to have the same scars on my back. And now they are almost all gone. It looks a lot better. Try it. If not Mederma also works. I've used them both.
neither, you have to get a dermatologist to do an acid peel. it hurts but it works great
    try prefer on

How well does tea tree oil work on removing acne?

I know it dries the pores, but how well exactly does it work? How well does tea tree oil work on removing acne?
I think this is a great product for reducing acne with tea tree oil:

    http://www.thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/brow鈥?/a>

I think you are a guy, right? I use this all the time and it's not any kind of girly product. It smells like tea tree oil %26amp; it really works.

And also the Tea Tree Oil Foaming Facial Wash:

    http://www.thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/brow鈥?/a>

I also have the Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash, which is this:

    http://www.thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/brow鈥?/a>

but I don't think it has the right consistency for the face, so I would recommend it as a body wash wash if you have acne like on the shoulders or back sometimes (it's a problem for me because I have very long hair and the oil from it makes my skin break out).

Another product that I would recommend is Stridex Maximum Soft Touch Pads. (Come in a red box.) You just wipe your face with one pad once at night and within 1 or 2 days any acne should clear up. It's really amazing %26amp; cheap. How well does tea tree oil work on removing acne?
I've been using tea tree oil for awhile now and i can tell u that it not only does what u say but it also helps tone down the appearance of pimples and there redness. It does take time but over days it can work miracles and elminate pimples right off ur face as long as ur applying it daily like every night. So can say honestly it works like all natural products i do use for my acne which are better for in my oppion. Simply how i do is apply the oil on a ear swab and wipe it on the areas i have acne. However u want ur acne to go away fast tea tree oil wont do that and the results can vary.
The combination of Tea Tree Oil soap and the Clindamycin cream is the best for Acne and pimple.

For acne scars and blemishes I lighten them up using papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too. Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'
its amazing. try burt's bees blemish stick, it really works.
I dont know why but it doesnt really work on me...it doesnt do anything

Where would I buy it in Nevada?

Thank you :)Would you recommend using lavender oil for acne?
    Aloe vera lotion is good

    try it

:)Would you recommend using lavender oil for acne?
While lavender oil can be soothing and has antibacterial benefits, always make sure you're diluting it - NEVER use it if it's not diluted.

Tea Tree oil actually is known as the best homeopathic remedy for such things as acne, irritation, rashes, burns, dandruff, etc. Tea tree oil is also very strong, and should be diluted.

For normal/oily skin, mix 1 part tea tree oil with 9 parts water

For sensitive skin, mix 1 part tea tree oil with 9 parts aloe vera gel.

Wash your face well, and use a cotton ball treated with the oil to apply to your face.
Lavender Essential Oil, as are most essential oils, is an anti-bacterial. Lavender is really good for burns and to promote healing. Essential Oils that are good for acne are citrus essential oils, also grapefruit is very good. Finally a lot of products for skin care have Tea Tree Oil.

Make sure to use all essential oils carefully.

How much does Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Foam Wash cost?

My skin gets extremely dry from Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash?

I am 14 and don't have acne but my skin is never clear. I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash once a day and my skin gets so dry, and it looks really bad because it looks like I got sunburn and my skin is pealing. What can I use instead or to moisturize my skin?My skin gets extremely dry from Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash?
i actually had the same problem with neutrogena but it really cleans out your skin well so i didnt wanna stop using it. Then i started using a Vitamin E based cream from the Body Shop. It's only 16 dollars and my skin feels amazing now. the exact name of the product is Vitamin E Moisture Cream! try it it's amazing!

Good luck! :)My skin gets extremely dry from Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash?
Neutrogena is generally a good brand...so maybe you could try something else from them? I know that Neutrogena has oil-free moisturizers. It's always essential to make sure that whatever moisturizer you use says that...you want something light that isn't going to clog your pores. If you find that Neutrogena just isn't cutting it, go to the store and look at other brands or do some internet research on them! :)
To be honest with you, you should stop using it. I too suffer from acne. You need to take into account your whole beauty routine. My advice to you is to use a mild cleanser and use medication by a doctor. wait a few months and you will notice a difference. Also, use a face lotion for sensitive skin. DONT overdue it with a bunch of remedies or your skin will get worse! Let me know if this helps!!!

Neutrogena oil free acne wash or Neutrogena oil free acne stress control?

    WHICH ONE???

Do they dry your skin out?

    Do they work?

Do they make you break out(sensitive skin)?Neutrogena oil free acne wash or Neutrogena oil free acne stress control?
I WOULD USE BOTH..TO GET YOUR SKIN CLEAR ALWAYS EXFOLIATE MAYBE EVERY OTHER DAY AND WASH WITH A ACNE WASH..NEUTROGENA WORKS WELL. I JUST STARTED USING THE ACNE STRESS CONTROL AND IT WORKS WONDERS. THE FIRST TIME I USED IT IT STARTED CLEARING UP MY PIMPLES RIGHT AWAY...THE NICE THING ABOUT THE ACNES STRESS IS THAT IT'S 3 IN 1..IT HEALS PIMPLES, PREVENTS NEW ONES AND MOSTURIZES..THAT'S MY 2 CENTS!Neutrogena oil free acne wash or Neutrogena oil free acne stress control?
I use the stress control. It works VERY well. I have sensitive skin, and it doesn't make me break otu at all. It doesn't dry out my skin either. I used acne wash too, but it's a little strong for my face. Unless you have severe acne I wouldn't use that.
Yes I use the oil free acne wash and it really keeps the pimples away!

but for sensitive skin i think that you would need to try somthing else.

Does neutrogena rapid clear daily cleaning pads and clear n clear advantage oil free acne moisturizer work?

which one do u have and did it work?Does neutrogena rapid clear daily cleaning pads and clear n clear advantage oil free acne moisturizer work?
I use the Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Control Kit which I think includes the moisturizer. It works for me. The cleanser dries my skin out and kills bacteria and the moisturizer makes it soft and smooth. You could try the moisturizer by itself but I don't think it'd work. You need something to kill the bacteria and something to moisturize your skin so that it doesn't need to produce extra oil to cool you down.

Good luck and I hope I wasn't too dumb. :)

Does Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne wash really work?

Does it really work as it say it does?Does Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne wash really work?
yes it works well if you use it everydayDoes Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne wash really work?
    yes!! it does!!

of course everyone's skin is different so what works for one person might not work for another...but this stuff worked great on my skin..it made it softer and caused it to have less breakouts. it's not that expensive so you should definately give it a shot!!
Yes it does work I have some and it keeps my pores un clogged and fresh :)

  • If you use Vitamin E oil to fade acne scars how do you apply it, and how long do you keep it on?

Help is extremely appreciated! If you use Vitamin E oil to fade acne scars how do you apply it, and how long do you keep it on?
i always just purchased some vitamin e capsules and cut 1-2 open a night. i'd then squish the gel out and rub it on the scar. i usually washed it off in the morning if it hadn't all blended into the skin. (p.s. - buying the capsules is much cheaper and you get more quantity)If you use Vitamin E oil to fade acne scars how do you apply it, and how long do you keep it on?
dont you just rub it in very well
be careful with vitamin e because it has oil in it and can make your acne come back
Put a small amount in the palm of your hands,

next rub it in very genttly into your skin

    IT WILL STING

you should apply it at night before you go to bed and leave it on all night. You can also apply it in the morning and leave it on and put your makeup over it after its dry or it will create stripes.

    Hope this helps

The entire emu industry is a farce. One of my co-workers nearly went broke because he got sucked into it. He knows first hand that those products aren't worth a dime.

A common home acne remedy is Tea Tree Oil. It is a good natural acne remedy because it has antimicrobial properties, meaning it kills the acne bacteria, just like many acne treatments on the market, except that it is all natural.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne .

Is using Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash enough to get rid of pimples?

or are there more products i should add to help get rid of the acne?Is using Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash enough to get rid of pimples?
Acne care: eat lots of fruit and vegetables. Clean skin with soapy water or an organic cleanser. You should do this twice a day even when you have no zits. The benzoyl peroxide (10%) creams are the most effective but are very hard on the skin. Creams with tea tree oil (like ones by Thursday Plantation and Sanctum from Australia in the region where the tea tree oil comes from) work nearly as well but do not hurt the skin. They may take 2 or 3 applications to work compared to 1 or 2 for the peroxide. They are found in health food shops in the US.

What works better the neutrogena wave or or the neutrogena pink grape fruit oil and acne cleanser ?

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE HELP AND ANSWER MY QUESTION ABOVEWhat works better the neutrogena wave or or the neutrogena pink grape fruit oil and acne cleanser ?
the wave is the best! i have both those things but the cleanser is just like any other except it smells like grapefruit. the wave is better and clears pimples faster trust me.What works better the neutrogena wave or or the neutrogena pink grape fruit oil and acne cleanser ?
My older sibling uses the wave and loves it.

The Oil Free acne cleanser dried my face, made it sting (as if I had a sunburn) and then made my skin peel. I personally would not recommend it.

It really depends on what kind of skin you have. I, for one, have sensitive, oily skin.
Clean and Clear Acne Wash... but make sure its the kind that says ';Keeps fighting breakouts long after you wash'; cuz theres one that says '; fights breakouts as you wash and it doesnt do anything. the stuff is great and you can feel it cleaning your face it feels good.
I have never used the Wave but I am too scared to try it...my skin is super sensitive.

I do use the grapefruit cleanser and it works well --- plus it smells DELICIOUS
the neutrogena wave is a waste of money , it doesn't even clean your face .

Go with the neutrogena pink grape fruit oil and acne cleanser.
i heard that the wave sucks

and i like the second one, it smells good too
the pink grapefruit smells amazing but is too drying to use... idk about the wave

i would like to know if i could use it or if it will maybe dry up my skin? please help thanks. Can i use neutrogena oil free acne wash even if my face isn't oily?
In general, may type of ';soap'; will dry up your skin by removing the oils. Thus, you get that squeaky clean feel after a wash.

In your case, neutrogene acne wash is not an exception -- it will draw oils from your face but your face naturally restore the oil content in an hour or so. Everybody skin is oily but it just depends on how oily it can naturally get. In other words, your face won't get any oilier than it currently is.

Sometimes washing away the oil on your face is a good thing when there's potential of bacterial contamination (especially after you've been the gym and touch many surfaces with your hands) so you would want to wash your face and let your body renew the oils on your face.

It's best to exfoliate everyday anyways. but none of the treatments that you can buy for acne from shops actually work. You need to go to your doctor and find a combination of pills/ creams that will work for you.

If you have already done this, for good skin, you need to drink lots of water, clense tone and moisturise everyday! Its a chore, but it really helps!

I used to use soap and alcohol wipes to dry the oil off my skin to prevent acne, and it caught up with me. I started to show fine lines and wrinkles very early. What worked the best for me is Mary Kay 3-1 cleanser for oily skin. Then I used the moisturizer for oily skin. Moisturizer is the best preventative for premature aging and since moisture is not oil, even those of us with oily skin need a moisturizer. After cleansing (before moisturizing,) I use blemish control toner. Mary Kay also makes a product called Oil mattifier, this product reduces the shine of oil throughout the day and doesn't disturb your make-up. None of the Mary Kay products clog pores, so you can use their make-up and it feels light and clean for your best look and your skin will improve. You can get all of these products and ask the consultant questions at www.marykay.com/rebecca
Alcohol is the worst thing you can put on your face. It makes skin really dry - so you get the impression that it works. But then your skin reacts to the driness by producing even more oil and this just makes things worse, especially if you keep using alcohol again to remove oil. So do try and go for alcohol-free formulas.

I'm sorry I don't know about these brands, so I have no answer for that. I know Avene is a good brand for acne, and generally a routine with a mild cleanser and very light moisturiser helps. If acne is due to hormonal rather than superficial skin causes, you may want to consider taking contaceptive pills (after consultation with your doctor of course - especially a dermatologist cos not all contraceptives work the same on acne). And you get the extra plus of regular, light periods and contraception!!!
I've been using Ziana for a month or two now. Its amazing stuff.

But everyone has different skin, so it could be different for you.

Literally the night I first tried it, my face was smoother in the morning because it got rid of a lot of the bumps.

Go to a dermatologist, they'll tell you exactly which one you need that'll work for your skin. I also take a few vitamins as part of the treatment too.
Ziana is really good.......jsut put it on every night .....it worked for really bad acne in like a month when the doctor said it could make months
Like any routine, once you stop a cleaning re-gamine, yes they will come back, you want to continue using your skin care on a daily basis. I recommend Mary Kay's 3-in-1 cleanser for oily to combination skin. There are also oil mattifiers and blotters. Feel free to go on-line and check it out for yourself.

Does neutrogena oil free acne wash work?

i have blackheads whiteheads and pimples..

would this item help get rid of those?Does neutrogena oil free acne wash work?
It definitely makes your face less oily. I bought a bottle a while ago and it's like 3/4 gone now. I haven't really noticed a difference from my old face wash (which I can't find now). I think any face wash that has salicylic acid in it will give the same results. It has for me, anyway. I don't have bad acne, just a few pimples and usually I have blackheads. It hasn't gotten rid of them, but it didn't make my skin worse (and I have used washes that made it worse).

What I like about it though is that it gets rid of the oil and makes my face feel really clean.Does neutrogena oil free acne wash work?
that cleanser actually takes a long time to actually work. maybe like around 1 month for it to actually be effective.

It's okay, but really works best for people who have temporary acne problems. If your problem has been long-term, I'd suggest using something more potent.

Tea tree oil for acne does it work directly?

i bought a little bottle of tea tree oil at walmart today because i couldn't find the herbal blemish stick by burts bees and i saw the tea tree oil near the burts bees section. i used to use the herbal blemish stick but i ran out cuz my sis spilled it and i cant find it anywhere. one of the main ingredients was tea tree oil so i bought that and does just plain tea tree oil applied directly to the pimple work? or does it make it worse?Tea tree oil for acne does it work directly?
Some people say that it works. People make all kinds of suggestions about the best thing to do to cure acne. Some cures I’ve heard include putting oatmeal, honey, lemon juice, tea tree oil, cucumber, vinegar, or toothpaste on your face. Practically every cosmetics company and company that makes personal care products makes something that is a “sure cure” for acne. If we think about this, and use some common sense, we have to come to the conclusion that there is no quick or easy cure for acne, because if there was it would be well known and doctors would be telling everyone about it.

Numerous companies make a lot of money persuading people to buy products that at worst will make the acne worse, and at best may help some people a little. Often fewer products are better. People often make their acne much worse by using too many products. There really is no quick fix for acne. Don’t spend a lot of money on products just because their ads say that they will cure acne. Your doctor is the best person to ask for help, and he or she may recommend some prescription medication or non-prescription treatment that may be suitable for you..

There are some very simple and basic things you can do that cost nothing. Keep your face or any other area affected by acne very clean. Any mild antibacterial soap will help with that. Rinse the area well to remove all soap residue. Drink plenty of water – it really does help to clear up acne. Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep. A healthy life style will make a difference. Try to reduce the stress in your life – stress contributes to acne, so also probably the more you worry about the acne and focus on it, the worse it will be.

Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer.

i found that it only worked for my ';underneath'; pimples. It helps the pimple come to the surface, and then makes it easier to get rid of. But be careful with that stuff, it's very potent so using too much can have an adverse affect on your skin.

How effective is tea tree oil in treating acne?

Does it work by preventing acne or can it be used to treat existing pimples? Does it penetrate the skin and pores (and pimples?)How effective is tea tree oil in treating acne?
Okay - you're talking to the most acne-plagued person in the universe. I've used EVERYTHING on my zits from Preparation H, to Visine, to every prescribed medication out there. The only thing that finally worked for me was Accutane - but you may not have acne severe enough to warrant such a step - and that is a personal decision. But to address your question about tea-tree oil - it did not work for me. It did penetrate, stung like hell, and actually made my zits worse. The best thing I ever did was a gentle NON-acne cleaner (even just Dove soap), Witchhazel as a toner, and a gentle moisturizer like Cetaphil - and of course try to keep your hands occupied in an activity other than zit popping or picking. So up to you - but I wouldn't recommend it. Take care and good luck! How effective is tea tree oil in treating acne?
The following products, which work very well for my husband, contain Teatree, or melaleuca Oil. If used all together, they will help combat your acne. He ( my husband) really likes the ';Zap-it Quick Stick';, it made this huge nasty pimple he had dissappear within three days.

The PC price you see would be how much it would cost for you as a preferred customer.

Water Therapy, drink lots of water and stay away from stress.

Or try this I think this is the solution to your problem.

For products.Try the excellent formula of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. Originally formulated for dermatologists, it is now recommended whenever the mildest cleanser is required-

    I personally use it daily.

I still have pimples though I'm well over my teen years.Even with all the acne-preventing products in the market I still find myself having breakouts, either occasionally or regularly. While acne is not a serious skin condition it causes loss of confidence. After all, complexion is one of the first things people notice about me. Somehow, other people also associate a pimple-ridden face with being untidy.
