Does tea tree oil for acne and pimples work?

does it work and how fast?Does tea tree oil for acne and pimples work?
Yeah it works but be careful since it is very strong, some people dilute with with another oil like jojoba which closely resembles the oil our skin naturally produces.Does tea tree oil for acne and pimples work?
Yes it works as it has antibiotic type properties. How fast it works depends as each person is different.
I have never used it for acne and pimples. It is great for smelly feet.

  • Is olive oil mixed with salt good for acne?

I have acne, but not very severe. I have this book that uses things at home in place of buying stuff and it mentioned mixing olive oil with salt enough to make a past for your face. It says your complexion should clear up in a couple of days. Is this true?Is olive oil mixed with salt good for acne?
it sure is! its good for your hair too.. toothpaste works pretty well on your acne as well

if you DO use it on your hair make sure you rinse it all out =D

you might want to take zinc tablets - that really clears up acneIs olive oil mixed with salt good for acne?
i just tried and my skin is so soft right now! i hope my acne clears too! i have a formal dance for our grade in 4 days! Report Abuse

I had lots of zits and my face looked horrible. I even had red, itchy, irritated skin around my nose for years that drove me crazy and nothing would clear it up. Then I heard about olive oil and now I rub down in it every time I get out of the shower, and the irritated skin cleared up in a matter of 2 days and hasn't been back since. Not to mention the zits.

It would seem that adding more oil to your face would make the zits worse, but that's not the case at all. Olive oil leaves your skin extremely soft and smooth and clear. I've never heard about mixing salt. Olive oil alone works for me.

I'd recommend buying extra virgin olive oil (first press) and put some in your hand and rub it in. It'll also smooth out your elbows if they're rough.

Sea salt alone would do wonders for your acne. An alternative to this is dissolving sea salt in warm water and use it to wash your face. Or you can soak in it to clear up body acne. You can use bath salts as well, which is sea salt added with fragrance oils.

I agree with Julie B (lol)

I wouldn't put olive oil on acne prone skin! That makes NO sense whatsoever! I think that remedy was concocted by someone frustrated with their own acne and just didn't want to suffer alone!
I would think any type of oil applied to the skin would actually make acne worse, considering acne is caused by a buildup of oil in the pores...
no!! try this, just as easy, cheaper, and will help your skin tremendously

Does tea tree oil really help to reduce acne?

I heard essential oils such as Tea tree oil can help reduce acne prone skin from reoccuring. I know the australians consider this to be their miracle product, b/c it treats almost every skin problem you can think of, is this really true?Does tea tree oil really help to reduce acne?
I guess it depends on you, it may work for some people and make things worse for others.Does tea tree oil really help to reduce acne?
There are a few companies that specialize in Tea Tree Oil and they swear that it will treat just about anything.

It can be used to treat acne, but there are other essential oils that are used as well. Spike Lavender, Sweet Thyme, Roman Chamomile and Neroli. Palmarosa, Thuja, Thyme, Vetiver, Bergamot and Cistus. Please read about the attributes of each in relation to the skin and decide which is best for you and your situation.

Applying diluted essential oils to the skin after cleansing can help reduce bacteria and speed healing, aid in draining and eliminating toxins. Clay masks are very helpful as well. They can be used both to prevent and treat an outbreak.
well...it cures a lot of skin irritations like acne, but you should only apply very little on you face. what i suggest for acne is boiled aloe vera sap mixed with tea tree oil
Yes, and no. Tea Tree oil (melaleuca alternifolia) has antibacterial properties, and pimples are just small, very localized, infections.

    Tea Tree oil won't make your skin less oily, or less prone to breaking out. But it *will* help with existing pimples, as well as keeping your face relatively ';germ-free.';

Never use Tea Tree oil full strength - it will burn. It's much more important to keep your hands off your face during the day, and to wash your face often.

You might want to look into booking an appointment for a facial. Ask specifically for a facial for acne prone skin.

    Dorothy
i believe it works when i was younger i had horrible skin and was put on medication for it, started using tea tree oil and my skin cleared up so much, i then stoped taking the medication for my face but kept using the tea tree oil and have not had a problem with acne since, its also good to burn for colds, good for cuts, cold sores, infections and to use on the floor to kill germs
no, not for me anyway, i tried it and it made my skin worse.
made my skin worse, its like one of those natural remides, those never work unless you rreally dont have a problem
    Have a look here.
Tea Tree Oil has anti-bacterial properties so yes it is true.
I think it does work. I've tried it, and although it smells funny, I got some results. I'm actually trying to find something that helps acne. Right now I started proactiv, but if that doesn't work I might go back to tea tree oil- I ran out of it one day and forgot it existed! I'm glad this question reminded me.

Can I Use Both The Neutrogena Wave & Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit?

I just got the Neutrogena Wave %26amp; I've been using it for about five days. But, I also got the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit. Can I use them both? Like, use the wash in the morning %26amp; the Wave at night? Or how should I? Help? Can I Use Both The Neutrogena Wave %26amp; Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit?
Use the wave in the morning because at night when you don't move your skin can get very dirty. Use the acne wash before you go to sleep because most acne washes tend to be bad to your skin if in sunlight.

    Hope this was helpful.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash causing dry itchy, irritated skin?

I recently started using the oil free acne wash from Neutrogena about a week ago, and now my face is now full of dry itchy irritated skin. I had a mild case of acne breakout around my forehead and heard this was a good face wash for acne, but now my face is so dry and it is really itchy in certain spots around my mouth and nose.

What can I do? I use face lotion often, but its not helping!

Suggestions? Thanks!Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash causing dry itchy, irritated skin?
I had the same problem when I started using the same acne wash. I switched my regular lotion to this moisturizer, by Clean %26amp; Clear:

    http://www.cleanandclear.com/productDeta鈥?/a>

It leaves my skin feeling SO soft and smooth. This is one of my favorite beauty products! I definitely recommend it!Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash causing dry itchy, irritated skin?
try using the acne wash when your in the shower because if the water is hot then is will be humid which helps to open your pores. also try using moisturizer as soon as possible after using the acne wash. you may have to use more moisturizer and you may have to use it more then once but if it helps then it's worth it. if the dry itchyness continues, try using a smaller amount of acne wash and mix it with a little bit of water before appliying it to your face. hope this helped and good luck.
The Neutrogena is drying you up too much. Your skin was probably ';Normal'; just with minor acne. You probably just needed a good cleanser and moisturizer for your skin type. When the right combination is used, the minor acne goes away. I have a customer right now that can attest to that. I use skin care products from MaryKay and I can recommend some products for you that I know you will be happy with. To match you with the right formula, I would need to ask you simple skin care questions. Contact me when your ready.
hmmm, i use that cleanser and it works really well for me. i'm guessing that it was too strong for your skin. that's kind of weird because i don't break-out, but i have really oily skin. it's probably just too strong, so it irritated your skin. i suggest that you stop use and try using a much gentler product.
    heyy

neutrogena is such a great brand. either you had an allergic reaction OR you're not moisturizing your face.

try moisturizing your face. try cetaphil!

if it's not the moisturizing, switch to a different wash.
NOTE鈥 HAVE WRITTEN THIS LONG ANSWER TO RESPOND TO QUESTIONS RELATING TO BECAUSE THEY COME UP SO OFTEN:

    OILY SKIN

    ACNE

    FACIAL LIGHTENING

    DEALING WITH ACNE SCARRING

    DEALING WITH STRETCH MARKS

    IMPROVING SKIN TONE

    PIMPLES

    BLACKHEADS

    EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT

    INGROWING HAIRS

    BODY ACNE

鈥HE INFO鈥橲 BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE. I鈥橫 36 NOW SO I鈥橵E HAD TO DEAL WITH THESE ISSUES FOR QUITE A WHILE AND THOUGH MUCH OF THIS ANSWER MAY BE IRRELEVANT, I HOPE THERE'LL BE SOMETHING THAT CAN HELP YOU!

    GOOD LUCK!!!

RECOMMENDED SKIN CARE鈥 use clean and clear cream wash (good for sensitive skin or those that dry to easy) or Neutrogena clear skin make up remover wash. Both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too. This is the most important thing you can do. I鈥檝e tried various 鈥榦il free鈥?鈥檚alicylic acid鈥?moisturisers but the best I鈥檝e found is the clean and clear on鈥 found the Neutrogena one actually seemed to aggravate my skin.

EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT!...The toothpaste things works! Put on a blob at night and put a bit of tissue over it so it doesn't make a mess. It cools the area down and reduces the inflammation. I also recommend the clean and clear advantage spot treatment gel.

HORMONAL SPOTS鈥ny female with spots I'd recommend trying dianette or yasmine contraceptive pills because if it's hormonal that can sort everything out within weeks鈥hough it can take a couple of months to get used to the pill.

FACIAL ACNE: AVOID鈥on't use harsh scrubs and peroxide products daily like some people do; that can dry your skin and make produce MORE oil...just exacerbating the problem. Many face packs I鈥檝e tried and those blackhead removal strips too seem to have caused problems.

I鈥檝e also had problems with those 鈥榝acial wipes鈥?made by clean and clear and Neutrogena because they鈥檙e too drying and when the top layer鈥檚 too dry, the oil gets stuck underneath and causes more problems!

Some say chocolate doesn鈥檛 affect it鈥t does for me and I don鈥檛 know how or why that should be but certain foods do seem to affect break out. Coffee is one of those things that seems to aggravate my skin too. So look out for anything you eat that might be making it worse.

HAIR PRODUCTS鈥e careful what products you use in your hair if it's long - certain conditioners have causes me to break out at times. Also be careful of hair gels, hair sprays and serums.

INGROWING HAIRS鈥or men or women鈥f you have oily skin, these are more likely. For men鈥se a facial scrub and avoid moisturisers that don鈥檛 have salicylic acid in them if you use a moisturiser. Some hair conditioners are much better lubricants than shaving cream too 鈥?so you might want to try that, and then was afterwards with a clean and clear was etc. Also I recommend the microdermabrasion kit mentioned later.

For women鈥axing seems to cause the main problem 鈥?we pay most attention to our faces. Waxing seems to be the main culprit as opposed to shaving or hair removal creams鈥o avoid in-growing hairs, make sure to exfoliate. I recommend using those exfoliating gloves 鈥?that way, you can use any kind of shower gel.

NUTRITION鈥 recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex 鈥?those little spots you get around your mouth can be due to a vitamin b deficiency for example. Also I recommend Omega 369 oils every day because they improve blood flow.

OLD WIVES TALE??...It's an 'old wives tale' type remedy - but a spoonful of cider vinegar and honey in hot water 3 times a day is meant to help EVERYTHING. It tastes nice too...kinda like honey and lemon X

HYDRATION鈥?Keep your hydration right by drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeine and alcohol and too much salt!

DEALING WITH SCARRING鈥here鈥檚 an excellent micro-dermabrasion scrub called 鈥榬e-finish鈥? by L'oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out. It comes with it's own moisturiser which I don't use but I use the scrub at night a couple of times a week and put bio oil on which it supposed to help clear scarring and even skin tone.

If you get your skin relatively under control, try using '21 days Fade Cream' (which I get from eBay) because it quickly clears up any scarring. It鈥檚 a skin lightening cream and is very effective as long as your skin type agrees with it. Bio oil is a good alternative!

Also, to detract from the colour variations in your skin tone, I recommend using Benefit鈥檚 Posie Tint or Benetint lipstain 鈥?this can be put on your cheeks and lips (which also makes your teeth look whiter as an added bonus). Lipstain is better than lipstick because it doesn鈥檛 smudge and it stays on; you can put lip balm or lip gloss on over it. Also, if you use it (SPARINGLY) on your cheeks, it is just like putting water on there; it doesn鈥檛 aggravate the skin or cause breakouts.

Where can I get Tree tea oil for my acne?

Can I get in at wall mart? Please help.Where can I get Tree tea oil for my acne?
I dont know about Walmart, but you will get it in a health shop, or essential oil stockist.Where can I get Tree tea oil for my acne?
You shouldn't use full strength tea tree oil on your face unless the package says so. The Body Shop has the best quality of oil, and they have a great line of tea tree oil products.
I don't recall seeing at walmart, but it could be. I know for sure its on drugstore.com in both the pure oil form and in an 100% vegan tea tree oil face wash (i bought it for my sister). This face wash can be purchased at health food stores too so if you know of one locally you could check it out. Its made by desert essence.

    http://www.teatreeplace.com/
It's Tea Tree oil. It's available at drug stores and places like Bath and Body Works.
At your local grocery store. Dont shop at walmart though.
You can get it at your nearest health food store or even Longs.
I have seen it at CVS.
YOU CAN GET IT AT A HEALTH FOOD STORE, IT'S REALLY GOOD STUFF FOR A LOT OF THINGS, LIKE LICE,CUTS,AND OTHER THINGS, YOU CAN TYPE IT IN SEARCH, AND SEE HOW GOOD TEA TREE OIL REALLY IS.
Any tea tree oil from WalMart would be crap, don't go there. Try the Vitamin Shoppe, or any local health food store. I've also gotten it from Puritan's Pride. Both stores I mentioned have websites, just google the names. Good luck!
call Walmart and ask them. Most supplement stores like GNC also care the product.

What can I use to help with acne and oil problems on my face, that is not expensive?

Arbonne's Clear Advantage system gives pure, safe, beneficial results. It's botanically based and comes with a 45-day money back guaranty, and it's not too expensive. You can find it at:

Anything with salacylic acid, it will help with zits, and it will dry your face out...... You have to be careful to not dry it out too much though! I like this product called SalAc you can find it at some drug stores
Try proactive , but clearasil is much cheaper and works in almost the same amount of time

Proactive. I get mine from QVC it might be a lil more than you would pay for something you get at wal-mart. but if you want something to help with oil and acne you are gonna have to spend a lil more money. i have struggled with acne for bout 10 years and this is the only thing i found that works.
I would definitely recommend Proactive. I had really bad acne that was only irritated by other products, but Proactive has worked great on it. You can get the whole 3-bottle system for starting at $29.99 online at their website. It may be more than you want to spend but it works great, unlike stuff you might find in the store. The bottles are a pretty good size, mine lasted for months, and depending on your skin you may only need to use it everyday.

    Good luck! :)

    proactive.com
i use neutrogena pore refining series every day. It costs about $6 per product and the most important are the clenser %26amp; toner. I've been using it for about 4 years and am hopelessly devoted to it. This works on its own but any dermatologist will zap you with UV rays at an appointment associated with acne. So....if you can find a resonable tanning salon i would also suggest you buy a few sessions and go for about 3-5 minutes a week.
Rubbing alcohol, or seabreeze..anything with a large alcohol base will not only clean it, but remove the oil and dry it up also.

How many fish oil pills should I take for acne?

I literally just started taking fish oil pills not even an hour ago. I was reading online reviews that fish oil helps a lot of acne. I also read that so people take 4-10 per day. I just took 2 and the bottle says to take 2 per day. But the reviews also said they recommend doubling the amount.

    Anyone who has taken it,

    1) Does it really work?

    2) How many should I take?

    3) Does it work for just face acne?

    Please and thanks

:)How many fish oil pills should I take for acne?
no its just helps the brain and heart... getting rid of acne is simple stop drinking stuff with sugar and drink water i did this and i have smooth skinHow many fish oil pills should I take for acne?
I take 2 a day and I haven't seen any change. You shouldn't really take more than the bottle says. If you really want to, you could ask your doctor if you can. It could be dangerous to ignore the bottle.
Hi Erin: when you eat a lot of starches, like breads, pasta, potatoes, rice, corn, oils from grains, etc, you have an unbalance in your body (all the above are omega 6 fats), you have too much pro inflammatory omega 6 fats in your body. When you take a supplement of omega 3 anti inflammatory fats, you are balancing that omega 6 /omega 3 ratio.

Now, the possibility of getting acne increases with the inflammation you have in all your body cell (specially in your skin), that is the amounts of omega 6 you ingest.

In order to diminish your acne you should do 2 things, decrease the amounts of omega 6 fats in your diet and increase the amounts of omega 3. Start with 3.000 mg of fish oil every day, that is close to 900 mg of omega 3 fats (EPA plus DHA from the label). If in 15 days you don鈥檛 see results you should increase the fish oil to 6.000 mg per day.

You can read more at: http://www.omega-3-fish-oil-wonders.com/鈥?/a> and at http://www.omega-3-fish-oil-wonders.com/鈥?/a>

    Best wishes.

    Alfredo E.
You should have asked your doctor about it.

But one of my friend was taking one pill daily.
Erinnnn - I hope your fish oil works for acne.

As to how much to take - I would just suggest starting out with the common dosage for high quality fish oil - that is 1 tsp or around 1600 mg of Omega 3 (around 1000 EPA + DHA combined).

Once you get used to that (fish oil burps and all) - you can probably double to 2 tsp a day.

Does it really work? It has worked for many people - I hope it works for you.

How many? Just go up to 2500 mg per day but make sure it is high quality fish oil free from mercury and PCBs

Does it just work for face acne? I don't know the answer - I would expect it to work for back and chest acne too - but I don't have evidence.

If we offered you a miracle remedy that cure ';Acne/Pimples/Keloids/black heads'; would you buy it? Certainly you would. You won鈥檛 find it in a Pharmacy but at the Grocery Store.

Try the Natural Cures for Acne/Pimples/Keloids/black heads.

Acne is perhaps the most common chronic skin disease. It is an inflammatory condition of the sebaceous (that is fat or grease) glands and hair follicles usually found on the face, the neck, chest, and shoulders. Nearly 8/10 young people between the ages of 12 and 24 suffer from some degree of acne. It is closely related to the disturbance in the hormones experienced at puberty.

The majority of patients recover between the ages 20 and 30 years. But it is still common in men over 30 years. In women, it rarely lasts beyond the early 30s and is normally worse before each menstrual period. The disease causes a great deal of embarrassment at an age when people tend to be sensitive about personal appearance.

The skin, covering the entire body, is a marvellous and intricate mechanism. It serves three main purposes; namely, protection of the inner organism, regulation of body temperature, and elimination of cell waste and systemic refuse. The skin is directly connected with and intimately bound up with the working of the whole system. All skin diseases, including acne, are the outcome of malfunctioning of the body as a whole.

Symptoms: Acne is characterized by the presence of comedones or blackheads, pimples, small superficial sebaceous cysts, and scars. There are over half a dozen forms of acne. All of them are concerned with sebaceous glands or the glands connected with hair follicles. The most common form of acne is blackheads. The areas chiefly affected are the forehead, temples, cheeks, and chin, the chest and back. In rare cases, almost the entire body may be covered with black heads with extensive scarring.

Causes: All forms of acne have their origin in wrong feeding habits, such as irregular hours of eating, improper food, excess of starches and sugar, excess of fatty foods. Chronic constipation is another major cause of acne. If the bowels do not move properly, waste matter is not eliminated as quickly as it should be and the bloodstream becomes surcharged with toxic matter. The extra efforts of the skin to eliminate excess waste result in acne and other forms of skin disease. Yet another important cause of acne is a devitalised condition of the skin resulting from unhygienic living habits. Other causes of the disorder are excessive use of tea, coffee, alcohol or tobacco, strenuous studies, masturbation, and sedentary habits which lead to indigestion and general debility.

Treatment: The treatment of acne by the administration of salve or ointment does not serve any purpose. They only suppress the action of the sebaceous glands temporarily. In nature cure, the main emphasis is on diet and certain water applications. To begin with the patient should resort to all-fruit diet for about a week. In this regimen, there should be three meals a day, consisting of fresh juicy fruits, such as apples, pears, grapes, grape-fruit, pineapple and peaches. Citrus fruits, bananas, dried, stewed or tinned fruits should not be taken. Unsweetened lemon or plain water, either hot or cold, should be drunk and nothing else. During this period, warm -water enema should be taken daily to cleanse the bowels and all other measures adopted to eradicate constipation.

After a week of all fruit diet, the patient can gradually adopt a well-balanced diet. Emphasis should be on raw foods, especially fresh fruits and vegetables, sprouted seeds, raw nuts, and whole grain cereals, especially millet and brown rice. Further shorter periods on the all-fruits for three days, or so may be necessary at a monthly interval till the condition of the skin improves. Strict attention to diet is essential for recovery. Starchy, protein and fatty foods, should be restricted. Meats, sugar, strong tea or coffee, condiments, pickles, refined and processed foods should all be avoided, as also soft drinks, candies, ice cream and products made with sugar and white flour.

Two vitamins, namely, niacin and vitamin A have been used successfully to treat acne. The vitamin therapy which may comprise a niacin, 100 mg. three times daily and vitamin A in large doses up to 1,50,000 units per day should not exceed one month. Vitamin E is also vitally important to prevent scarring from acne and in removing old scars.

Another effective remedy in the realm of nutrition that seems to offer new promise of help for acne is zinc. It has shown dramatic results in some cases. Zinc should be taken in therapeutic doses of 50 mg three times a day. After noticeable improvement it can be gradually reduced.

Local Treatment: As regards local treatment, hot fomentation should be applied to open up the pores and squeeze the waste matter. Then rinse with cold water. Sun and air baths by exposing the whole body to sun and air are highly beneficial. The healing packs made of grated cucumber, oatmeal cooked in milk, and cooked, creamed carrots used externally, have been found to be effective. The orange peel is valuable in the treatment of acne. The peel, pounded well with water on a piece of stone, should be applied to the affected areas. The lemon has also proved beneficial in removing pimples and acne. It should be applied regularly.

A teaspoonful of coriander juice, mixed with a pinch of turmeric powder, is another effective home remedy for pimples and blackheads. The mixture should be applied to the face after thoroughly washing it, every night before retiring.

The juice of raw potatoes has also proved very valuable in clearing skin blemishes. This cleansing results from high content of potassium sulphur, phosphorous and chlorine in the potato. These elements are, however, of value only when the potato is raw as in this state they are composed of live organic atoms.

A hot Epsom-salt bath twice a week will be highly beneficial in all cases of acne. This bath is prepared by adding one and a half kg of Epsom salt to 50 litres of water having a temperature of about 100 degrees F. The patient should remain in the bath from 25-35 minutes till he perspires freely. After the bath the patient should cool off gradually.

    Hope this helps, Good Luck.

Does anyone know If Nutregena oil free acne wash really works?

Can anyone recommend a reallly really good acne wash? Ive tried a lot but none seem to work that well. thanks. Also if anyone knows any treatments for clear and oilfree skin please tell me.Does anyone know If Nutregena oil free acne wash really works?
Okay, I used to have a terribly bad problem with acne. Not only was it all over my face, but a lot on my back, chest, and arms. I tried so many products and Neutrogena was the best for me! I use the face wash in the mornings and the body wash for acne at nights. All of it went away and consistently stayed away!! It is amazing! If you haven't tried it before, I completely recommend it!Does anyone know If Nutregena oil free acne wash really works?
    proactiv. i swear by it.
    Hi,

it's important to inform yourself first before buying any wrong solution. Products like e.g. accutane or proactiv (and those pills doctors prescribe) are aggressive and can cause damages to you and your skin since they contain harmful ingredients.

Your best bet would be to check out

    http://usefulresources.info/natural-acne鈥?/a>

Make sure you bookmark it for future reference.

This is one of the very few products out there which really treats the acne problem at its roots from inside and out, no matter which kind of acne you have. Without damaging your skin, all natural.

I've literally wasted hundreds on other ';miracles'; but this one is highly efficient and that's what only counts for me. It should also help you get rid of your acne in a breeze.

    Hope that helps.

    All the best,

    Melinda
I use the Nutrogena Oil Free and it works SO well. My skin is less oily and it prevents acne.

Neutrogena oil free acne wash rip off?

I bought this product from a dollar store and it smelled like hand soap, so I found that strange. It only worked for a few days, and then my skin got really bad. The other day I bought it again from Target (cause the old bottle finished) and it has a much sweeter smell.

Could the dollar store bottle be a rip off?Neutrogena oil free acne wash rip off?
It could have been expired at the dollar store or something...not sure??Neutrogena oil free acne wash rip off?
really look at that label. Some sell copy products and it is hard to see the difference in packaging. I too have had problems with skin care, and face creams from those stores. I buy generic at walmart or target now only.

If it truly is the same exact bottle, I would contact Neutrogena, they may offer to have you send it in for analysis.
I honestly think they both are.

It drys your face out, so it works fast the first while.

But after a while your skin will need its natural oils to be healthy.

Then you're acne will get bad.

Try washing only once a day?

If you're doing it more than that.

    Or buy something else?

    Sounds like a good idea.
Yes, the same thing happend to me. I warn you, some of the dollar store products can be contaminated. I wouldn't buy anything from there that you use for your actual body.
I ve tried evry face wash known to man and the best thing I ve found is unscented baby wipes. I know it sounds wierd but no chemicals and fragrances and no soaps. Good luck!
    Most likely.

The Dollar Store sells products that are either cheaply made or expired. Stick with the one from Target. :D
yeah. why the hell wud u even go to the dollar store to look for stuff for ur face u moron. Go to shoppers drug mart or somewhere appropriate. ppl these days...so damn cheap...
yeah it could be a rip off. Compare the ingredients on the back. Dollar stores are whores about that sort of thing.
most likely its just really old in the dollar store version.

Where to get a decent Tea tree oil for my acne?

the only place i know is the body shop, any where else i can get them?

or all tea tree oil are the same?

Where can I get Tea Tree Oil from to use for acne?

Ok I have heard some wonderful things about tea tree oil and witch hazel but where can I get it from? I live in Michigan by the way, if that helps.Where can I get Tea Tree Oil from to use for acne?
Walgreens; walmart; you can get it at alny of the major drug stores.

If the tea tree oil doesnt work for you try ';terminator 10'; its AMAZING.Where can I get Tea Tree Oil from to use for acne?
Tea Tree Oil is generally available in most drug stores, but I question if it is effective with acne. I know it has antibiotic properties, and I do have some, myself, but if it was effective on acne, wouldn't it be in acne products, instead of them using benzoil peroxide?

Benzoil peroxide has been tested and shown to be the most effective agent against the specific type of bacteria that causes acne in the pores. Tea Tree Oil has not, to my knowledge been tested %26amp; shown to be effective for it. It may work on other bacteria, but this is a specific kind of bacteria that causese acne.

Witch hazel is an astringent, and not shown to be effective in acne treatment. It will dry out the skin around the lesions, but not do a thing to kill the bacteria or clear the crud out of the affected pore. Only benzoil peroxide does both. Salicylic acid is also effective, but from the things I've read it's not even as effective as benzoil peroxide.

If the Tea Tree Oil doesn't clear it up for you, I highly recommend ProActive Solution. It works really well for me--4 year customer! It's gentle, effective, easy to use, and inexpensive!
Walgreens, Wal-mart, any local drug store. On-line.
They have a whole line of tea tree oil products at The Body Shop.
I know they sell it in the body shop.
I got mine at a drugstore.

thanks so much!Neutrogena oil free acne wash pink grapefruit?
Hello, I put 1 squirt right after i am taking a shower because my face is moist with water. But i still wet my face even though my face it moist, because you want your face to be WET. So to prevent dryness, i put creme that helps for dry skin right after i am done puting the oil free acne wash on. And my skin feels soft...Hope I helpedNeutrogena oil free acne wash pink grapefruit?
You use it twice daily. In the morning, and at night before bed.

One squirt, you don't wanna use too much.

After using this, i would put moisturizer on to prevent your skin from getting so dry.

Flaxseed oil for acne - in capsules or by tablespoon?

I want to take flaxseed oil for my acne, but I wonder which way of taking it is more effective. I prefer capsules since they are more convenient, but is it healthier to take it by tablespoon?

and do you know if applying the oil to your skin helps clear up acne as well?Flaxseed oil for acne - in capsules or by tablespoon?
It's just as healthy to take whether it's by a softgel or by the liquid. The major difference is that a softgel can only hold up to about 1200 mg while a tablespoon can hold up to 15,000 mg (depending on how heavy/thick the liquid is). It would take a lot of pills to equal one spoonful, so that's one aspect... but you don't have to taste the oil when you swallow a pill.

It's a personal preference for each person depending on taste, convenience, etc.

Flax oil does have benefits for skin health, so it might help acne... but it depends on what's causing the acne, too. For example, if it's all hormonal, supplements might not help it at all.

No, applying it to the skin wouldn't really add any benefit for acne and might make it worse if it's due to oily skin.

Give each option a try if you'd like, but they are both the same thing inside. Good luck and I hope I helped!Flaxseed oil for acne - in capsules or by tablespoon?
it doesn't really matter how you take as long as it in the body. All omega fats are good for the skin. However other nutritional factors can cause acne, such as a diet high in saturated fat and low in vegetables and fruits. Vitamin C also helps with your skin, a multivitamin is a good source of all nutrients

    okay

Has anyone used tea tree oil to clear up acne?

One of my friends suggested buying teatree oil and diluting it with water to use on my face. Has anyone ever done this before? If so, did it work? I've tried Proactive, Clinique, and several over the counter treatments and I'm allergic to Retin A.Has anyone used tea tree oil to clear up acne?
I use a face wash from Avon that has tea tree oil in it. It works well, but I've never tried the diluted one. I have really sensitive skin though and it's ok for me.Has anyone used tea tree oil to clear up acne?
it worked for me though. pimple creams will just make my pimple worse

i use the body shop tea tree oil, undiluted. it left the skin super oily but it works!
I think it helps dry things up
use mint juice. get mint leaves, and put them in a blender.

then take the juice out and put it on your face like a mask and wash it off after liek 10 min. it should work well.
Tea tree oil will kill the bacteria on the skin but it never really helped much with any pimples that I've had. Have you tried anything with Salicylic acid? That's what really worked for me, no Retin A.
Yes, it takes a couple of days, but it dries 'em out.
Tea tree oil does work, but it's not a fast acting cure. It takes time.

Tea tree oil has so many uses, you'd be amazed.
Yep, i found that it did help quite a bit, but i think it depends on your skin type.
Tea Tree OIL did not help me. However, Nelson's Tea Tree Cream ($6 at health food stores; British brand) did! I love it. I also use it for ingrown hair %26amp; razor bumps. My boyfriend also uses it on his neck and loves it.
Oil doesn't clear up acne it just causes it.

Yeah I only used it once this morning and I already see a difference in my skin :) redness wise it works best if you splash your face with cold water then use a wash rag and make it wet all over then squeeze it out then put a quarter size amount and rub it all over your face into your skin for about a minute then completely rinse it off and dry your face and no moisturizer. You can do the same thing in the shower even with hot water but make sure you always close your pores with cold water...

Krystal, there is no law that I know of that says you have to stick to one brand only of a facial cleanser.

You can use mix and match to suit your skin, budget, and nose!! Some smell much nicer than others.

Some companies really encourage you to purchase the whole set from them. But it isn't at all necessary.

How long does it take to work? And can you combine it with tea tree oil so that it doesn't cause any more breakouts? How long does bio oil take to work on acne scars?
Well, the bottle says to use it for 3 months, but from everything that I have read, it can work as soon as 2 weeks. I bought it yesterday, and I read product reviews at walgreens.com. Almost everyone loved it and said that is works pretty quickly. Just be sure to be consistant and use it twice a day. Everyone says that it works, so it wont hurt to try it!

Have any of you ever tried Bio-oil for WHITE acne scars?

I can find a lot on the internet about reddish scars that people have used it on and say it works. However red scars will fade themselves in time anyways. I need to know if anyone has had success with WHITE scars! (it is different for white because all pigmentation has been lost). Any success using Bio-oi on these?Have any of you ever tried Bio-oil for WHITE acne scars?
    hi there,

i would be careful with bio-oil....its not a typical acne or scar treatment...also it has ingredients that may actually exacerbate acne such isopropyl myristate....

Pigmentated spots are not the same as scarring (where collagen damage is involved). your white ';scars'; is what we would consider hypopigmentation, which can be very difficult to treat...also if they are ';raised'; they have an added level of complexity....

sorry for not having a real solution, i just wanted to give you more insight into the whole scarring vs pigmentation issue.

Does Vaseline mens body and face lotion cause acne or is it oil free?

Does Vaseline mens body and face lotion cause acne or is it oil free? Hi, i have been using Clean and clear advantage for about 2 months and i haven't been seeing any improvements, also i swim and all of these make my skin dry and i would like to know how to improve my skin, by getting less acne and i get oily skin too. What helps? Does using acne products help my skin or make it worse? Lastly would the Vaseline mens body and face lotion help?Does Vaseline mens body and face lotion cause acne or is it oil free?
I swim too, and I use clean and clear exfoliating scrub, and clean and clear astringent for sensitive skin, it works for me.

Whenever I get home from swimming I put coconut oil on my skin to moisturize it. When it starts to get oily I put aloe vera gel on it, and that helps it start to get less dry.

How can i dilute tea tree oil for use of my acne?

I have acne and i used tea tree oil and i got a reaction with it as i applied it directly to my skin on the pimples and the marks.

I wanted to know if i can dilute it with lavender oil or any other oil will will not create my skin to itch and help it heal faster.

Any professional help out there? How can i dilute tea tree oil for use of my acne?
Why not just buy some acne medicine with tea tree oil already in it. Straight tea tree oil will not cause a reaction to your skin unless you are sensitive to it. You can add it to your normal facial cleanser or put it on your washcloth and dilute it that way. Under normal circumstances though it shouldn't irritate your skin. How can i dilute tea tree oil for use of my acne?
You can add it to an oil free moisturizer.. don't even use a natural ';oil'; if you are trying to clear up acne caused by oily secretions.

You can even add a drop to your cleanser... you can dilute it with purified water as well..
If you get a reaction to undiluted tea-tree oil you should probably stop using it at all. Alternately you could try using a product that has tea-tree oil in it, like a soap or a facewash, and see if the dilution helps. You could maybe dilute it in some soapy water. But if it's making you itchy STOP USING IT. It'll just make things worse.
tea tree oil clears your skin, you can use it alone

I wouldn't use it. Try St. Ives facial wash. It's pretty good.
I think they make good products. Better then most other brands if you buy them at a drug store.

How long does it take for tea tree oil to get rid of acne?

I bought a tea tree oil stick two days ago and i've been using it for 3 nights and randomly through out the day. When will it start clearing up my acne and how many times a day should i use it or should i just use it at night? How long does it take for tea tree oil to get rid of acne?
For acne I would suggest you get the tea tree oil, not the stick, the stick contains certain other ingredients which does not make it so potent. Tea tree oil on the other hand is brilliant for acne spots lice and general hygene, you can buy tea tree oil from holland and barrat for apx 3.00, use it neat 4 drops on cotton wool, and radomly use it on the acne..twice a day, you should start seeing results in a few days, good luck. How long does it take for tea tree oil to get rid of acne?
I was interested in tea tree oil several years ago, but the effect of tea tree oil, according to what I studied before is not so obvious to most of people. You can try it and I can recomment to you some of the other natural free treatments here:

Keep in mind that not all products work for everyone. Everyone's skin type is different. If you still aren't seeing results after a couple weeks, you should consider using something else.

I'm not sure what bio oil is. .but can let you know about something that does help. 10% alpha hydroxy acid from acne.org. . ($16 for 6 oz tube. .lasts forever). Between that and the dr varon's vitamin c serum ($19.99 from drugstore.com), skin tone has become brighter, and acne scars have lessened over the two weeks I've been using both products.

How should I mix Jojoba Oil, Lavender Oil and Tea tree Oil to get rid of acne?

I only have Jojoba Oil, Lavender Oil and I am about to buy tee tree oil. I am wondering how to mix those and how to apply them to the face to help treat acne and pimple problems to the face. I have heard the Lavender oil is dangerous when too much is applied. Please help, thank you.How should I mix Jojoba Oil, Lavender Oil and Tea tree Oil to get rid of acne?
Jojoba oil is used as a moisturizer, it is great for oily skin because it doesn't add oil to it like other oils. It is easily absorbed and doesn't leave greasy residue. Lavender is used if you have an infection or inflammation as it it calms and soothes the skin. However, I would recommend you go with tea tree to treat acne. Tea tree oil is an antiseptic, it clears the infection, kills bacteria and cleanses the skin thoroughly.

I hope this helps :)How should I mix Jojoba Oil, Lavender Oil and Tea tree Oil to get rid of acne?
I've never heard of lavender oil for acne. Jojoba oil is for moisturizing so I'm not sure that would be helpful for clearing up acne. I have used straight Tea Tree oil - just dab a little on the pimple itself and it helps with redness and swelling overnight, since it's all natural, you can use it as often as needed. Good luck.
cutting out dairy is a better idea... and will work unlike putting garbage on your skin.

drink water also and fresh vegetable and fruit juices.

it's what goes inside your body primarily that makes your skin respond.

Do NOT make it dry.. Keep it clean and moisturize it..How to get rid of ';oil acne '; ?
I've battled acne for 16 years and I know what you're going through. It sounds like what you are describing are scars from your acne. Oils don't accumulate on your skin like that.

Your best bet would be to see a dermatologist. There are prescription creams that help with scars. There are also procedures like dermabrasion.
The best tip I ever got was to use lemons. Dab the juice on with a cotton tip. Open the pores first with a hot bath. Use a clay mask once a week. For the leftover scars, try bio oil.
